What is Veganuary?

Veganuary is a non-profit organisation that encourages people to try a fully plant-based diet for the month of January.

Since launching in 2014, Veganuary has grown into a global movement. In January 2025 alone, an estimated 25.8 million people worldwide took part, with official campaigns running across Europe, the Americas, Asia and beyond.

Veganuary isn’t about rules or restriction — it’s about curiosity, learning and giving something new a go, with plenty of support along the way.

One of the most common questions from Veganuary first-timers is: “Will I feel full and energised?”
