I'm wondering if you could advise please why your D3 and K2 combined supplement has 4000iu of vit d and 75ug of K2?My understanding is the recommended dose for an adult over 70 is 1000iu of D3 and approx 180iu of K2, or between 100/300.I live in Australia making sunlight availability plentiful.I would love to purchase your products as vegan/vegetarian supps, especially combined are not easy to findHi, we offer Vitamin D3 supplements at a range of strengths. We've launching this 'max strength' tablet at 4000iu of Vitamin D3 due to strong customer requests. In Europe, 4000iu is considered the "upper safe limit" for daily D3 intake. We've combined it with 75μg of Vitamin K2 as that is the European Nutrient Reference Value (NRV - previously known as the Recommended Daily Amount or RDA... still not entirely sure why they changed it!). Our lower dose D3 tablets, or MultiVitamin formulas that combine D3 with K2 might be more suitable for your preferences.
What form is the Vitamin D3 in this supplement? Is it cholecalciferol?Hi, yes Vitamin D3 is also known as Cholecalciferol.
Why is the colour and texture different to the D3 2500iu tablets. For this formula, we use Baobab to naturally enhance the flavour. The naturally occurring colour of the tablet reflects this inclusion of baobab. Unlike many other brands, we strongly believe in not adding artificial colours or whitening agents to the formula hence the colour remains. The tone can vary from yellowy to brown and the tablet also has a slightly different texture to our smaller dose D3 tablets as a result.
I’d like to confirm please is it safe to take this high dose Vitamin D3 + K2 together with your multivitamin? I also take your Omega and Turmeric which look to be okay. I’m 70 years and in good health but do have Hashimotos and I’d like to take the higher strength Vitamin D. Thank youHi, we don't recommend doubling-up on Vitamin K2, unless you have been specifically recommended to do so by your Doctor or Health Practitioner, so combining our D3 + K2 tablet with our MultiVit is not something we would advise on that basis. 4000iu is considered by authorities as the upper safe limit for ongoing daily Vitamin D3 intake, so again, unless you have been specifically advised to take in excess of 4000iu Vitamin D3, we don't advise using our D3 + K2 formula with the Omega-3 (which also contains 200iu D3 per dose). It is find to combine our Turmeric formula with any combination.
Hi, Is your vitamin D3/K2 gluten free? Are your products verified allergen free or made in a facility that may contain allergens?
Thanks, Fiona.Hi, yes our D3-K2 is Gluten free. We do regularly test the allergen-free status of our products to ensure compliance.
can i get this sugar free (without maltodextrin) ? otherwise you should put a warning for diabetics!Hi, Maltodextrin isn't a sugar. Like many starch-derived compounds, it does have a high glycemic index. The quantity consumed from our formulas is very low.
What is the source of the Vitamin D3?We use lichen-origin Vitamin D3
Where does Vitamin D3 usually come from?Meat and fish are the most common sources of Vitamin D3 in the diet. The reason conventional Vitamin D3 supplements are not suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans is because the D3 is extracted from sheep's wool (Lanolin) or other animal sources.
