Why do you recommend 0.5 ml of Vegan Omega‑3 Liquid Concentrate (Total Omega-3 233 mg), but 2.5 ml of Vegan Omega‑3 Liquid Supplements (Total Omega-3 418 mg) for babies ? Hi, the Omega-3 ratios between the two formulas differ a little. The full dose of both formulas is safe for babies. These are just outline recommendations.
Are you able to give any thoughts on the following recently published studies?https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC13099475/https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2026/04/260426012303.htm Hi, thank you for sharing. These publications are both very limited in their scope. The PMC publication is an observational Alzheimer’s-risk cohort study. It didn't control supplement dose or quality like a trial would, and it conflicts with other data, including a 2023 review of 48 cohort studies suggesting omega-3 intake or biomarkers were linked with lower dementia/cognitive-decline risk. It is worth noting some of the potential negative risk observations were with highly oxidised sources, such as poor quality fish oil. Our Omega-3s have excellent oxidative stability so wouldn't carry any such associated risk. The Science Daily publication was not a general human supplement trial. It was mainly mechanistic work in mice and cells, focused on repeated head injury and CTE-like biology. It raises a hypothesis that EPA may behave differently from DHA under brain-injury conditions, but doesn't really go any further with meaningful conclusions. It also separates EPA from DHA. DHA is a major structural brain fatty acid, while EPA may act differently depending on biological context.
I have been a long time user of omega 3. My ophthalmologist said I should ask if it is reastified. Would you please let me know? Hi, we gather you mean 're-esterified'? Our Omega-3s are in triglyceride form, which is the key (and we're sure your Ophthalmologist will agree). Re-esterification is something that is done to convert ethyl ester forms of Omega-3 into triglyceride forms of Omega-3. So the answer is that no, we don't re-esterify, but that's because we don't need to; we already have the correct triglyceride form and high concentration of Omega-3 EPA & DHA.
Safety for pregnancy & children – Do you have specific safety data or clinical studies for these populations? Any contraindications?Dosage – Why 2.5 ml for infants and 5 ml for older children / pregnant women? Does this align with EFSA/WHO guidelines?Certifications – Do you carry independent certifications (Vegan, IFOS, Non‑GMO, monkey‑free, etc.)? Hi, these are Food Supplements rather than licensed medicines, so we don't have the luxury (or budget) for clinical studies unfortunately. We work under the jurisdiction of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and take their recommendations on levels, also taking into account recommendations from other health authorities around the world in providing age- or population-related recommendations. All of our products are Vegan Society and Vegan Society certified, non-GMO, all produced under high quality standards (BRC, HACCP, Food GMP) and we are most definitely "monkey-free"!
Dzień dobry czy wasz preparat dha omega 3 mogę podawać niemowlakowi który ma 7 miesięcy? https://www.vegetology.com/supplements/vegan-omega-3-liquid-concentrate Cześć, tak, to w porządku. Zalecamy dawkę 2,5 ml (pół łyżeczki do herbaty). Translated from: "Hi, yes it is fine. We recommend 2.5ml (half a tea spoon) as the dose."
I am taking your omega 3 capsules twice a day and was interested to know what the outside of the capsules is made from.I found in the ingredients that one of the elements is sodium carbonate. On looking it up, my research shows it is known as soda ash or washing soda. Can you please confirm what this ingredient is? I am sure it’s absolutely safe but just want to understand it better. Also, in regard to your new concentrated omega 3 liquid, would it be viable/healthy to take 2 ml a day so the dosage is similar to having 2 capsules a day? Hi, the Omega-3 capsule shell is made using carrageenan (a natural seaweed-derived material) and modified potato starch. Together they allow formation of a shell structure that is stable and durable enough to work with the Omega-3 Oil. Sodium Carbonate is just present to modify the pH of the shell mix, as it needs to be carefully balanced to achieve the stable shell structure. It is natural, completely safe, and present at a tiny level solely to modify that pH. It is absolutely fine to take 2ml of the new Omega-3 Liquid Concentrate.
What is D3V? Hi, it is plant-source Vitamin D3
I have a query about your Omega 3 EPA and DHA which I have been taking.Someone has recently said to me the the human body can't convert thegreen omegas EPA and DHA into integrins, resolvins and maresins and thatfish do this so it is best to take fish oil. Please would you have any research or information you could direct meto, to clarify this for me because as a strict vegan this important to me.Hope you can give me information to help clear this up. Hi, this isn't the case. We know EPA and DHA are the direct precursors to resolvins, maresins, and protectins. So EPA and DHA from microalgae, as we use, are identical to those found in fish. The link has been confused along the way with research into the ALA form of Omega-3, which does have very low conversion efficiency. As long as you obtain Omega-3 in the forms of EPA & DHA, the source has no impact on efficacy.
I read the FAQs on your website but I still don't quite understand why the dose is lower in the concentrate that in the capsules, please can you explain it? Also, is there a difference in effectiveness between taking omega 3 as a liquid versus as capsules? Hi, the Omega-3 Concentrate is dosed per 1ml (150mg EPA & 300mg DHA), so is very highly potent. The Omega-3 Capsules are dosed per 2 capsules and the Omega-3 Liquid per 5ml. The Omega-3 Oil itself is identical, and the headline 150mg EPA & 300mg DHA levels are the minimum quantities of each. If you wanted the same actual intake, you can take 2ml of the Omega-3 Concentrate and the intake dose will be identical to taking 2 x Omega-3 Capsules or 5ml of the Omega-3 Liquid.
Does your new liquid Omega 3 with the pipette contain DPA? It’s not listed, unlike on the soft gels & liquid bottles! Hi, yes it contains DPA in the same ratio as the our other Omega-3 formulas. We don't list it on the product label due to a lack of space (and because it isn't one of the primary Omega-3 forms we're focusing on), but it is most certainly there!
Why is the EPA/DHA lower than the capsules? Our capsules and liquid provide 300mg EPA and 500mg DHA per daily dose. The concentrate provides 150mg EPA and 300mg DHA in just 1ml — a potent dose in a fraction of the volume. It's designed for convenience and ease, particularly for those who find larger doses difficult to take.
Does it contain Iodine? Our Omega-3 products do not contain Iodine.
What form is the Omega-3? It is in Triglyceride form. We grow our microalgae in controlled conditions at a pharmaceutical-quality specialist facility, which allows us to guarantee the complete purity of the product.
How is the algae grown? The algae are grown in tanks at a pharmaceutical-quality facility, rather than taken from the ocean. This ensures the highest possible purity. No additional chemicals are required.
Is it suitable for children? Yes. The dropper format makes it easy to adjust the dose for younger family members.
How much should I take? One full pipette (1ml) per day is the recommended dose. It can be taken directly or added to food.
How is the Omega-3 Concentrate different from the capsules or liquid? It's the same trusted algal Omega-3, just in a more concentrated format. While our capsules require 2 per day and our liquid requires a 5ml teaspoon, the concentrate delivers EPA and DHA in just 1ml — making it ideal if you prefer a smaller, quicker dose.
