The labelling is incorrect and misleading. The label states that it contains 2000mg of Lion's Mane extract. It doesn't contain 2000 mg of extract. It contains an amount of Lion's Mane extract equivalent to 2000 mg of whole dried Lion's Mane.
An unopened bottle weighs 42.82 grams. If each capsule is a size 2 vegecap, it weighs approx 63 mg. An empty bottle weighs 19.99 grams. If we multiply 63 mg x 60, we get the total weight of the vegecaps in a bottle (3.78 grams). If we add that to the weight of the empty bottle, we get 23.77 grams. If we subtract this from the weight of an unopened bottle, we get 19.05 grams. Last, if we divide this figure by 60 we get 317.5 mg - the approximate weight of the extract in each bottle. It may not be exactly that amount, but it will be close to this figure.
The label should state something like the following: 1 capsule contains 317.5 mg of Lion's Mane extract (equivalent to 2000 mg of whole dried Lion's Mane mushroom). To not include this information is misleading.

We appreciate your attention to detail and understand your concern about how the dosage information is presented. To clarify, the product contains 2000 mg of Lion’s Mane extract per serving, as stated on the label. The extract is produced from whole Lion’s Mane mushrooms using a concentration process, and the final material in each serving is 2000 mg of the concentrated extract itself. The figure “2000 mg” therefore reflects the whole mushroom equivalent, meaning the amount of dried Lion’s Mane from which the extract is derived. This is a standardised and widely accepted labelling convention used across the supplement industry to indicate extract strength and equivalence. Therefore, the labelling is accurate and compliant with standard supplement regulations. In addition, all our products and labels are third party independently tested.
