I now have an ileostomy so it's I'm wondering how fast does the outside of your capsules dissolve once swallowed? I need to ensure that I am absorbing them and ultimately that they won't cause a blockage. Just wondering should I break the capsules open and add them to something or it's ok as they are? I'm thinking of other products e.g. the magnesium and B6 and lions mane. Hi, each of these capsules is designed to breakdown rapidly, so we would expect them to be fine. This is especially if you find you are ok to take any other supplements or medicines in capsule form. We would only expect issues if the capsules are designed for delayed release, as such items break down much more slowly.
Will this supplement make me feel stimulated or jittery? No, Lion’s Mane is not a stimulant like caffeine. It’s not known to cause jitteriness. Instead, it may help support natural energy in a more balanced way. Many users describe it as helping them feel more “clear-headed” rather than hyper or wired.
Can I take Lion’s Mane with coffee or tea? Yes, Lion’s Mane can be taken alongside your morning beverage. Some users enjoy combining it with coffee for a nootropic “stack,” though this is more a preference than a necessity. Taking it with food is generally recommended to support absorption.
Can I take Lion’s Mane at night? Yes, many people tolerate it well at night, but individual responses vary. Some prefer taking it in the morning to support energy and focus during the day. If you’re new to Lion’s Mane, it’s a good idea to start with a morning dose to see how it affects you.
Is this supplement suitable for long-term use? Yes, many people take Lion’s Mane regularly over the long term. There is no known risk of dependency, and no evidence suggesting it becomes less effective with ongoing use. However, taking occasional breaks (e.g., one week off every few months) is a common practice with herbal supplements.
What’s the difference between fruiting body and mycelium? Fruiting body refers to the visible part of the mushroom that grows above ground. It tends to contain a higher concentration of active compounds we are targeting. Mycelium is the root-like structure, often grown on grain. Our supplement uses full-spectrum extract from the fruiting body for optimal potency.
Is Lion’s Mane the same as other mushroom supplements? No. While other mushrooms like Reishi or Cordyceps are often used for purposes such as links to stamina support, Lion’s Mane is traditionally linked with focus and clarity. It has a unique composition, including compounds such as hericenones and erinacines.
Can I take Lion’s Mane every day? Yes, Lion’s Mane is generally considered safe for daily use when taken as directed. Daily supplementation may help maintain consistent nutrient levels that support energy and psychological function. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or on medication, it's best to consult a healthcare professional before taking any supplements.
can you safely have this alongside all of your available products? are there any to avoid? Hi, our Lion's Mane supplement can be used alongside any/all of our other products.
Hi, interested in the above. However somewhat confused. Other products contain mycelium only or both mycelium and fruit body. You offer an extract? Could you please shed some light on this? And why you chose what you chose? As always thanks for your help. Hi, it is a great question. From our research we found the majority of target active compounds were present (and in higher quantities) within the fruiting body. 'Extract' is just the name given to the preparation and processing of the plant material, but what we use is the whole fruiting body. The Mycelium part is interesting, but at this stage our focus is on the fruiting body only. We have to be careful not to be classed as a "novel food" in Europe (from a regulatory perspective), so combining different parts can be problematic.
Hi, Firstly, what extraction process is used for the lions mane within this supplement? Secondly, I would assume that the 2000mg you quote is the fresh mushroom equivalent, rather than the amount of extract in the capsule? Is that correct? Thirdly, have you, or do you plan to do third party testing for the bioactive compounds such as Hericenones and Erinacines that are responsible for the positive neurological benefits? Thanks. Hi, it is a whole extract of the fruiting body (i.e. not a solvent-based selective extraction process), so the material is washed, concentrated, milled and filtered. Yes our extract is concentrated to equate to the equivalent of 2000mg actual Lion's Mane dry material per capsule. We are doing a lot of work into specific bioactive compounds but more so into understanding the natural synergies and entirety of the composition.
In which country is the lions mane grown? Hi, the Lion's Mane crop is grown in UK.
Hi, how much lions mane is their per 1 capsule? Is it 2000mg? I currently take 1 gram per day but I am considering taking more and potentially in this capsule form. Cheers. Hi, yes 1 x Capsule is 2000mg Lion's Mane Extract.
